Today I started sketching new ideas for erector (that's the software that runs this site). The last update was a major design and usability shift and I intend the next to continue moving towards increased usability.

I have decided that the primary focus of the next update will be the main page and your user profiles. I want to continue to make it easier for you to share content and see the content that is shared.

I have spent several hours looking over various sites and taking notes and screenshots of features and design elements I like. I want you to see more at first glance. I want the site to maintain it's clean look, but I also want it to be more customizable.

My plan is to take several stabs at some rough sketches of the page layout and then create mockups in photoshop to code from. The final version will not look like any of these sites but hopefully something entirely new which takes the best from each and improves them in every way.
