Holy crapola on a stick... (my life this year)

My life this year.

The start of the year was good. New Years was good times.
Then the harsh reality set in. I was unemployed with very little going for me. I was depressed. I was lonely. I was broke.

I kept at it, got plenty of interviews and did that whole game for a while. Just kept going to interviews, and not hearing anything from them. I'd call to follow up and they'd tell me they'd call back later, which obviously meant they wouldn't. Anyway, not gonna worry about this part...

One night in mid January a friend of mine in World of Warcraft (hai NN) decided - as we were ganking people in Nagrand - she had a friend that would be perfect for me. I didn't really think much of it, thought she was just crazy and humored her a bit.

Then I saw the pictures. I was stunned. I didn't think she'd want anything to do with me anyway, so I figured why not? Lets see where this goes.
And then a few days later, Dilek IM'd me on AIM.
Well, this is where my life starts getting good.

Less than two weeks after Dilek's IM, I started work at my current job. Continued speaking to her almost every night (to this day, almost every night ) and got to know her a bit.

In the midst of all this, I was struggling with being able to abandon a very self destructive friendship with my ex, and trying to figure out what the Army was doing with me.

Turns out the Army doesn't want me; discharged, thats all done with.
The ex thing is done with as well. I honestly feel I made the best possible decision by ending that friendship. It just isn't healthy when a "friend" continually leeches off of you for support in every detail of their life. It's just plain wrong when an ex does it.

So there you have meeting my girlfriend (Dilek), getting a good job, getting the Army crap figured out and out of the way, and getting rid of the cause of a lot of grief in my life (the ex) all in the past three months.

Now that I'm extremely happy with my life; my job, Dilek, and everything seeming right... now I'm off to my next adventure.

I applied to the National Personal Training Institute, and they're taking me no problem. I start July 7th. I applied for a loan tonight so that I can afford it. Approved, no problems there either.

The graduation date for that is 12/18/2008. So less than six months, really.

Yeah. I'm pretty fucking excited about that. Finally doing something with my life.

So to break it all down...
Good job? Not bad at all.
Amazing girlfriend? Definitely.
Life on track? Yep.
Goals for the future? Always.
Achieving one of those goals in the foreseeable future? For the first time, yes.

Why'd I type all this out? I don't know.
Why''d you read it? Who knows? It is what it is, and I'm happy.
